Backup Exec to ARCserve

Please help:

Is there anyway you can tell me how I can retrieve the data from a backup tape created by Backup Exec. This is a client's database that we need to work on and already we are behind the schedule. We use ARCserve in our office for backup/recovery. I was told that I could use NT backup utility to extract the data from this backup tape. Tried that but was unsuccessful. I also tried to down load a trial version of Backup Exec 8.6 to the server but again unable to set up due to driver conflict. Ours and our client's servers run on Win NT 4.0. Tape is DLT 7000/8000. The backup tape was done using Backup Exec version 8.5.

Please help. Any suggestion/advice will be much appreciated.

I would suggest that you contact oracle support or create a tar on metalink... Since I don't know, I do not want to mislead you...
