While importing i am getting the following errors.
IMP-00017: following statement failed with ORACLE error 604:
"COMMENT ON COLUMN "IP_USER_ROLE_MAST"."USER_ROLE_DESC" IS 'This column is "
"used store the description of role'"
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 604 encountered
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01401: inserted value too large for column
ORA-06512: at line 2
Why i am getting the error and how to avoid it.

From the error message it seems that the table into which you are importing has diff column length (smaller) than the table from which data was exported.
Increase the size of the table column...
More details would have been helpful....
It's posts like this that really piss me off.
1. Go look on metalink first! If you don't have an account go get one. If you don't know what Metalink is you shouldn't be a DBA.
