Question about Checkpoint not complete

I have a rac environment with two nodes.The database version is 10.2.0.1. I am seeing checkpoint not complete in my alert.log quite frequently. I had 4 redo groups with two members in each group of size 50mb.My database is in archive mode. After seeing this message i have added 4 new groups with size 150mb. The message went away for some time but it appears again. I want to get the suggestion do i need to drop the 4 groups which were having small redo logfile of size 50mb. I was reading abot archive_lag_target parameter do i need to set this parameter or what should i do in order to correct this warning in the alert.log.This is happening on production system.Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Increase the size of your redo log to 200M
and set log_checkpoint_timeout = 0
