Dear Friends,
In RMAN backup, the HOST command does the same thing of COPY command. In that case, is it possible to use RMAN for non-oracle systems.
Could any one give a thought on this.

RMAN uses PL/SQL packages, if you can make that werk with other systems... hehe :D
Or reverse engineer Rman and make your own back up application , then when you open the door to conquer the market you'll see that it has already been done by many!!!Quote:

HOST command doesn't do the same thing as COPY command. HOST command can be used to execute any OS command form within RMAN.Quote:
