If Oracle says OCP 8i will retire by xxxx date does it mean one needs
to upgrade to 9i by xxxx date or one can take upgrade till the upgrade test is available.

No, you may take the upgrade only if you wish to become 9i certfied. You will be forever 8i certified :-)Quote:

OK. But is there a time limit to take upgrade test(8i to 9i), should it be taken before Oracle 8i is retired by Oracle. That was the question. Sorry for the miscommunication.
