How to read XML Data stored as Clob

An XML data has been dumped into a Clob field in a Oracle Table.

SQL> desc XML_TEST1
Name Null? Type
----------------------------------------- -------- -------
XMLTEST CLOB
How do we read the data in sqlplus.

Any examples will be of much help.

If the first table stores the xml in clob do you want to shred the xml into relational when you store it into table B ?
