Well, what I do normally when I start trouble shooting is to simply go to Metalink, plug the error number into the search box and start to read. If that doesn't help I pulg the error number into an internet search engine. Then as a last resort I search the archives on this site. By then I've got the answer. But, since so many people here would much rather post the question here expecting someone to tell them so they don't have to do the reasearch is by far the way to go when trouble shooting.
So, with that all said... After pluging your error into Metalink it looks as though you may have a file size limit or a possible bug (depending on your version of Oracle)according to Gina from Oracle support.
i SEARCHED NET
I POSTED METALINK.
BUT WHY I COME TO THIS FORUM YOU KNOW..
IF SOMEBODY FACED THE SAME PROBLEM..
THEN IT IS EASY TO ADVICE FROM THEM.. THEY PINPOINT THE EXACT
SOURCE OF THE ERROR..
THIS IS NOT FOR ANYOTHER ANALYZE.
DURING PROBLEM , REINVENTING TIME WILL BE SAVED..
check the size on disk where the file resides, if its out of space or corrupt or disk going offline?
Hi
Check the file permissions..
regards
Hrishy
In this case, I'd start with the alert log to get the full error stack.Quote:

Dropped the previous rollback segments which grown big,,1gb plus,
