Hi, Guys,
I have a production HP-UX server with Oracle running on it. I want to check the 'Oracle Universal Installer Version' that is installed on that machine. How do I do it?
Your input is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chintzs

It tells you when you start it up.
If you miss it then you can always click on the "About Oracle Universial Installer" button.
Thanks. I was trying to find ways of getting the version without having to bring up the Installer.

look in /etc or /var/opt/oracle for the file oraInst.loc
Go to the directory it points to, find the installActions.log file under the "log" directory
Look for "installer version" in that file.
It'll look something like this:
The installer version is 1.7.1.8.0
