RMAN very slow..Solution found

Hi All,
Remember i had posted a thread last week saying that my RMAN backup was slow, and also mentioned that our backup disk group was configured with RAID 5.Few days back we had configured the disk group only with striping and tested RMAN backup and thing went on very fast.Also i tried the RMAN backup with multiple channels and RMAN backup was doing well.
I thank one and all of you who had participated in that thread for giving me solutions
