System tablespace next extent

Hi.

Currently, i noticed that my system tablespace do not have space to allocate another new extent. I was thinking of reducing the size of the new extent so that there will be no problems. Alternatively, I could add another datafile. But my understanding is that the growth of system tablespace is very low other than upgrades, or maybe patches.

And yes, i am on 9.2.0.5. However, there are no LMT or ASSM yet since this was an upgrade from 8.1.7. Hence a migration of tablespaces are needed to tap on these fantastic features.

Please advise.

Yes, i could add space to the tablespace. However, since system tablespace has seldom or nil growth, is it okay to leave it as it is?
