whats wrong with the online manuals and knowing your trade?

There is nothing wrong with the online manuals. I get more from reading books than reading online(i am one of those who likes to waste the trees), it has something to do with 'you are working on computers all day; why not read from a book and have distraction from the tube'.

I am new to Oracle arena. There is no way of knowing by the trade(unless I start working as a DBA all of a sudden).
