What do you do if for the Designer 2000 installation you are requested to install into Oracle Default Home, but if you try this, you are refused because Default home doesn't allow multiple oracle installations?

What do you do if for the Designer 2000 installation you are requested to install into Oracle Default Home, but if you try this, you are refused because Default home doesn't allow multiple oracle installations?
The only solution is deinstall all oracle software from this client, install first developer 2000 and after reinstall all the software again.
Other solution is install developer 6i that allow multiple oracle homes.
