OEM (DBcontrol overhead)

Hi Friends,

I have some generic question on dbcontrol.
We are trying to embed oracle database and dbcontrol in one of our network application.

what is the resource /performance overhead on server by using dbcontrol ( addm report collecting snapshots etc .. )

is there a way we can capture cpu / memory usage etc ..
i know it is not static since there is variation based on usage.

but any document or steps to gather this info is appreciated.

That's what I would call a pretty easy solution.
You just have to train your application to be able to log into OEM, go to the performance page and look at the data.

Knitty, you are solving a problem poster doesn't have; you have to read the specs.

Prakash, if you are looking for CPU/Memory utilization you might want to setup an O/S level script to periodicallly capture the data you want and put it in whatever place you application might have access to; even a text file would do the trick.
