Oracle Financial DBA deals with more of Oracle Applications rather then Database related work. The "Oracle Application" apps is a suite of business apps that Oracle packages..
Ask your boss to take a hike, if s/he can't tell the difference.
There's something called OFA (Oracle financial Analyzer) as well. Admins of this delightful ( :rolleyes: ) product are sometimes referred to Financials DBA as well.
