1) I am going to install oracle 8i in linux, I would like to know the procedure to follow for the same.
2) My current development system is NT and i need to move the content to Live environment in linux . i would also like to know how to estimate the size of the database and create accrodingly in Live environment.
If some script is available for the above , pl. let me know.

For Oracle 8i in linux environment, a patch needs to be applied. Check in Metalink for further info.
To move the contents (schema objects) from NT to Linux, use export and import.
