OEM Export Error
Hi all
I tried to export a user using OEM. Whwn i tell the wizard ot generate log file it shows the following error and fails
The system cannot find the file specified.
couldn't open "E:/EXP.LOG": no such file or directory
when i tell it not to generate log it shows the following error
The system cannot find the file specified.
couldn't open "C:/WINNT/TEMP/1296104421.log": no such file or directory
All the configurations look to be good nd the user does have write permisiion on the drive E: and C: because its an administrator user.
Can anyone guide me on this Please.
Thanks

check the slash after drive letter it should be 'e:\' not 'e:/'

Dear akhadar,
Thanks for your reply. when i give the path i am giving it('\') correctly e:\exp.log but the error displays it in this fashion.
See when i do not want log also it shows the similar error with the C:\winnt drive and the slashes are '/'.
We are using windows 2000 with Oracle 8.1.6.
I do not understand what could be the problem.
Thanks

What is your OS.If it is windows it is surely issue with permissions and security.Grant the user all permissions and security on the folder where the job is trying to write the contents.
-
Thankyou for the reply.
the OS is Windows 2000 and the user is the domain administrator and he the full control over the folder he is trying to write.
Pls do advise if anything else could be the problem.
thanks

What OEM version are u using? Is it a certified combination (db, os, oem)?
So also, what patchset have you installed?
HTH.

. . . a long shot . . . I would try specifying a destination that was NOT the root directory . . .

What is the error no.
What is the user u are using while submitting the jobs?
Let me have all the squential steps.

I think you may be hitting this bug:
http://support.oracle.co.uk/metalink...&p_id=105901.1
Do you have a NULL.TCL file in %ORACLE_HOME%\network\agent\tcl
If not simply create an empty file of that name and retry.

Thank you all for your response.
This is a downloaded version of Oracle 9iAS version 1.2.2.a , i installed the standard edition and just using the same OEM cos the features are the same.
Dear akhadar
The user is the domain administrator and the database user is SYS.
