Statstics on Dictionary tables....

Is there any specific link or info about
why Statistics on Dictionary Tables is a disaster.

Couldnt say more about this but...
knew from few sources that its a wrong idea gathering stats for Dic Tables.
For instance http://www.oracledba.co.uk -> Tunig -> dbms_utility.analyze_table thread also refers to the same.
** I know we can always delete the statistics.

If its RULE then doesnt it should overlook the stats whether they are available or not?

Jr i'm just didn't understand ur query clear, a liitle bit with error.
"Statistics ON Dictionary Tables is a disaster" and
"Statistics IN Dictionary Tables is a disaster"
have different means.

I mean,
why analyze on sys schema is not advised .
