tuning tool

Is there any tuning GUI utility coming along with oracle 8.1.6? If so how to invoke that? Or any other good GUI tool..?

well, this is not exactlly the answer you need, but look at TOAD and also, look at http://www.revealnet.com for there knowledge engine

Oracle Enterprise Manager comes with many different options for ex. Enterprise Manager Console, DBA Management Pack, Tuning Pack, Change Management Pack, Diagnostics pack, management Pack for Oracle Applications, Standard management Pack which can be separately bought.


All of these are GUI tools.

Spotlight on Oracle from Quest software is quite nice.

it's gives a good GUI overview about all aspects of the db.
