China is already over populated. Why do you want to go China? Why don't you come to US?

Hi! Tamilselvan

I am in the U.S. now and pursuing Oracle DBA OCP....However, as an international student from Asia and no much experience in Oracle DBA, it's really hard for me to stay in here or even for good. So, that's why I have curiosity in China Market. I do wonder if there are more chances over there.....

Hi

If you can read Chinese, go to the following websites:
http://www.sina.com.cn
http://job.renren.com
http://www.career.com.tw

You will find lots of jobs there, but I am not sure about Oracle...

Good luck!

Peggy,

With your Oracle training, you should try US first, better pay and great work and learning environment etc. There are lots of demand for Jr. DBA. Some companies will even help you get a green card after a few years. Have you tried placed your resume on the web? If it doesn't work, China is your next choice.

The best confidence booster is knowledge.

Certification (DBA) is an additional qualification. It will not give knowledge. Try to get any computer related job first. Then slowley emerge to DBA.

Good Luck.

Peggy,

I don't your resident status. The good place to try is dotcom, eventhough their attractiveness is at odds but they are still desparately looking for people. I think it will give you a much better chance. Since job seach is depended on timing, so be patient and it will pay off.

Hi Peggy,

I have OCP 8 and have no luck in finding the Junior Oracle DBA position. I have been in the IT field for 2 years. Many recruiters ask for at least 1 year experience in database field. I'm concerned right now for my certificate. If I don't have a chance to get the foot in the door in the next few months, I don't think I will get in later on. Also, I heard that they will be a lot of layoff in the computer fields, I'm not sure if we can get the foot in the door or not.

Hello! tamilselvan & goodhealth:

Actually, I had two years experience in IT field with MBA background. After that, I chose database as my speciality.
Now, all I know much is Oracle db on NT/Unix, and some programming language.....I was wondering if I can not get started from here, what other fields I can get into it???
I think the biggest point of mine to find a job in here is my visa status. I am only holding a F1-visa & not a U.S. Citizen. So, there is no doubt that I need to try harder....Well, nothing is impossible to a willing mind. I will keep searching everywhere. After all, I am willing to relocate worldwide...

Thank you for all your concerns & suggestion!! ^_*

Hello! Trina:

It seems that both of us are in the same boat. Hope that everything will go our way soon. Never let it go, all right? Good luck on you!!
