We just recently upgraded our Windows clients from Oracle 7 and 8i SQL*Net to Oracle 9i (9.2.0.1.0 with 9.2.0.4.0 ODBC driver). We have an Oracle database (9.2) that provides access to 600 tables through user logon-specific views. With 7/8i ODBC drivers, when linking a table in Access, the list of tables to link showed only the views specific to the user login provided. With 9i ODBC drivers, the list of tables shows the views for everyone, which makes the list too big and it truncates at around 30,000 tables. In one instance this only displays through the letter D.
Does anyone know if this is a driver setting? Might it be a bug in 9i but not in the older versions, or vice versa? I've searched this site and Google but cannot find references to this problem.
