oracle apps installation

Hi,

I am new to this forum.
How i can install/setup oracle apps on a nt machine .
including where i will get the dump.
I am not finding any evaluation edition download for oracle apps from oracle site like oracle 9i , ias ..

Is there only option is to purchase s/w from oracle.
Basically I want to to learn tech/dba part of oracle apps.

you can download patchset 2669606 from metalink. its there for all the OS, its size is abt 1.9 gig, so u got to unzip it later on.

2669606 - is the maintenance patchset which takes you to 11.5.9, you need to have an existing installation before you can apply it.

Hi,
I'am also a starter in the oracle apps.
I have succesfully installed 11.5.8 on linux which was a pain.
There are 22 disks in the set and depending on what you want to install you need between 15 to all 22 disks for a fully functional install.
This will consist of 4 parts.
oracle apps software
oracle application server software
oracle rdbms software
oracle database
So only a dump will not get you anywhere.
