report printed though USB port

When I try to print through the USB port I am getting the following error



There was an error writing USB001 for the printer(HP Officejet 4100 series) :
There was a problem printing to the printer due to an unknown system error. Restart windows and try printing again.

Windows 2000 : Report version . 2.5

Is this a generic error i.e. are you able to use the printer with other apps? Or does the error just occur with reports 2.5

I have a problem with reports only. I am able to print from other applications like word, excel etc. Only from reports i am not able to print.
