Heloo friends,I have a problem installation of Oracle Discoverer 4i on windows 2000.Just I was installed 4i on my computer.
But i didn't installed oracle database.
When i try to connect Discover adminstrator or Desktop user,
I get tns protocol error.
** failed connect to database.ora-12203.
Shall i need oracledatabase installation?
IF yes which version.
And also shall i need to configure net8 configure from Discoverer to Database?
If yes how?
me new for oracle dicoverer.

Yes you can launch the net8 configuration assiatant and use the wizard..to configure tnsnames
