Dear all,

I was wondering if I can install additional languages after the installation has completed.

For example, I am now only using default language "English" in R11i. But after days, I found that I need to use another language. Can I add it up or I need to re-install???

From my understanding ,

You have to reinstall the application again with UTF8 .

Thank you for your info. After going throuth many materials,
I found the same conclusion with you.

If we wanna input & see many supported-language, it's very important for us to choose "UTF8" character set before the installation. Otherwise, changing character sets after installation will be an involved, difficult & expensive process. Moreover, if we wanna see different language version on the display window, we have to install additional NLS <language> CDs.

I have a question: If I need to convert my existing database into UTF8 character set, what is the best way of doing so.
